I spent today working on the design of the user interface. I’ve always been a fan of the maxim that good design is as little design as possible. It’s an interesting challenge to try to remove as much ornamentation as I can while still retaining the clarity and functionality expected from a professional tool.

I’m hesitant to share screenshots while I’m still experimenting, but I’m very pleased with how things are looking so far.

I expect my updates for the next week or so will be somewhat unremarkable as I make progress on the interface, but I’ll do my best to think of things more interesting to post than “Yup! Still making it pretty!”
